        Hi Guys,
I have purchased a G8 some time ago, had issues and it was replaced in a few days thanks to some great tech help.

After mucking around with it for a few weeks, I decided to replace the default linux install for android as I was having problems getting to network settings all the time. I now know there is a FAQ for this.

However I now want to upgrade to kodi 17.3.
        How can I do this?

I have purchased the linux firmware again, but cant seem to install it over android. How can I reflash the linux firmware? Or is there a new Kodi 17.3 install for the G8 on android yet?

        Thanks

        John

        Hi,

Unfortunately, Kodi 17.3 only works on Android version 5.0 and higher. Why Kodi decided to exclude those with lower versions is puzzling.

Loading Linux onto the box should be much the same way as loading Android, extracting the files from the main ZIP file onto an SD card and then doing a toothpick reset
